Dear Customers,

We are heartbroken to announce the TEMPORARY closure of Marty’s Mercantile to the public, but we are committed to provide food for families in need through Project Resilience. In fact, our first order of 85 meals already went out to Project Resilience.

Our decision was driven by the health of the people that interact every day at Marty’s, as well as our financial health. With several key local vendors also closing their businesses, we now need to close as well. This is the right decision for our team, the health of the business and the greater good. We are grateful for your love and good will.

If you’d like to help us, we’d greatly appreciate any and all support. We still have outstanding bills we’re trying to settle to put the business in the best possible position to return on a sound footing. We started a GoFundMe page for Marty’s Mercantile to help us raise funds to settle our remaining outstanding expenses. Save the clock tower!

We are down, but we are NOT out. We look forward to reopening as soon as it is safe. We hope to be able to coordinate a huge back yard bash to celebrate our re-opening day.

Marty & Sarah

Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, and built on the shores of the Ashokan Reservoir, lies a little place - "the store." Beloved by locals, this cafe and market has been re-imagined by owners Marty and Sarah Lynch with hearty breakfast plates, specialty sandwiches, local coffee, tea and ice cream. The market features a variety of goods crafted by New York artists and culinary artisans. Stop by - meet Marty... sit on the deck... hang in the yard. Hear stories and music. Relax and enjoy the best of the Catskills.
